There must be memorial to Lancastria victims

A MALVERN grandmother who survived the worst maritime disaster in British history has called on Prime Minister to acknowledge the thousands who perished.

Jacqueline Tanner, of Moorlands Road was just two and a half years when the HMT Lancastria was sunk by German dive bombers on June 17, 1940, as he exited the military and civilians against the French port of St Nazaire.

The Cunard liner of 16,000 tons, which had been requisitioned for military purposes, was crammed with passengers, including the parents of Mrs. Tanner, who had been living in Belgium.

The family survived by clinging to a plank of wood that the Luftwaffe strafed the waters filled with oil around them.

Dissapointing trip in quest for some HMT watches

A fellow on a forum looking at me wondering if I could help him find three HMT watches - Kohinoor black, one white and one Sona art deco "white" Janta. The Sona was not a problem that I have a lie BNIB around, so I thought I'm going to a small watch shop where I bought a couple of HMTs before. Its usually in smaller stores that stock HMT watches that others do not care about storage below the usual thing Titan, Citizen quartz and those of others. I arrived and the guy recognized me instantly. I asked him to watch and he started looking for them.
