Harsh environment connectors from Deutsch target civil aerospace applications

Deutsch says its new 369 series of connectors has been developed primarily to meet the demands of civil aerospace system booth, including lighting and cabin seat, panel-break interconnection systems and emergency oxygen, and power passenger seat and actuation. New series is based on the Deutsch connector ARINC 809/EN4165 single module, designed for applications where shielding is not necessary and fewer contacts are needed. Layouts include standard 3 -, 6 - and 9-way.

According to Deutsch, the connectors have been designed so that each half can be configured mated with male or female contacts, doubling the number of configurations available overlay and ensure that the contacts on the side of the electrically powered system protected. Aerospace / Military Standard AS39029 gold plated contacts can be easily extracted and reinserted from the rear of the connector with standard tools, says the manufacturer.
