'Bike guy' peddles his new invention

TRUNX is an innovative bike bag, a trunk of a bike if you want, which is designed and manufactured in Saint John.

Paul Reeves, who is well known locally for the construction of unique and funky bikes using recycled parts, is the inventor and it has just begun marketing its core cycling nationally through a website.

"The bicycle guy" as he calls it around his house at the north end of St. John, hopes his body will inspire more people to pedal to work more easily and use it as a form of transport .

Reeves, 52, has had a lifelong fascination with cycling, bicycle repair and construction. When he was 14, he took a job with Canadian Tire bike assembly because he wanted to make money to buy one of their own. He has been tinkering with them since.
